We do don't collect or store any personally identifiable data. Like most companies though, we're always interested in understanding how our software is being used and where we may be able to improve. We collect usage and analytic data from the SAMi3 app.

No - SAMi Camera , SAMi Router Kit, and SAMi Complete Kit owners have lifetime access to our monitoring software and services .

Generally no. You may be eligible for reimbursement depending on your situation and plan but most of the time movement detection devices like ours are unfortunately not covered.

However, if you are eligible for a government, disability, or medicaid waiver, SAMi is likely covered! We are happy to connect with your Case Manaager directly or provide you any documentation necessary for paying for SAMi under your waiver. 

If you're not on a waiver, there are many organizations out there prepared to fill the funding gap through device grants. Here are three of our favorites:

256-bit AES encryption and includes the option to add additional password protection.

SAMi Kits operate on an offline closed monitoring environment. This means to even attempt breaking our encryption, someone attempting to gain access to your SAMi Camera would need to be physically on-site.

The SAMi Secure Router, included in the SAMi Router Kit and SAMi Complete Kit, enables up to 1000 sq ft of coverage. Generally we recommend placing the SAMi Secure Router as close to the SAMi-3 Camera as possible, ideally in the same room. We then recommend the included iPad remain within 60-100 feet of the SAMi Secure Router. This can vary slightly depending on your home environment.

You also have the option to pair your SAMi-3 Camera with your Home Wi-Fi. While less reliable, this may extend your range. 

Remote Monitoring
You can also monitor remotely by connecting the SAMi Camera to your Home Wi-Fi network. This allows you to monitor from anywhere in the world, as long as you have cell service or access to Wi-Fi. Here's our (article) on how to enable remote monitoring.

Local Storage (Camera + apple device):
Your most recent 5000 minutes of recordings are saved to a micro SD card (included!) within the SAMi Camera. This SD card can be easily removed if you wish to transfer recordings direclty to your computer using a card reader.

These recordings are then automatically transfered to the SAMi app on the included iPad anytime the app is running. These can be easily saved, locked, or shared directly from within the app!

Optional Cloud Storage:
We also support automatically transfering recordings to your iCloud or Dropbox account

Yes but you can only remain connected to one Camera at a time so monitoring two cameras from a single apple device isn't possible. You'll need one apple device per camera to monitor at the same time. Contact us if this sounds like you and we will help guide you on what you need.
